Reapply after two hours or after swimming, sweating, or toweling off.<\/li>\n<li>UV rays can damage skin cells. Too much exposure to UV light is what causes most skin cancers.\n<ul>\n<li>UV rays tend to be the strongest from 9 AM to 3 PM (standard time).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Wear sunglasses that block both UVA and UVB rays.<\/li>\n<li>Wear a hat with a brim to protect face, ears, and back of neck.<\/li>\n<li>Use insect repellent and wear long sleeved shirts and long pants to prevent mosquito bites and ticks.<\/li>\n<li>TIP: If you use both sunscreen and insect repellent, apply sunscreen first. After you come indoors, check clothing, body and pets for ticks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Keep cool in extreme heat<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Extreme heat can be dangerous for everyone, but it may be especially dangerous for people with chronic medical conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Stay in the shade under an umbrella, tree or other shelter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Eat a healthy diet<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Delicious fruits and veggies make any summer meal healthier.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rethink your drink!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drink water instead of sugary or alcoholic drinks to reduce calories and stay safe.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Move more, sit less!
