The Star Tribune offers the PPO Plan and the HSA Plan administered by UMR. Both plans help to manage health care costs by having an integrated program that includes care management programs and online consumer tools.
Since the plans cover the same types of health care services, you’ll want to pay attention to differences in coverage for in network providers and out of network providers, your biweekly rates, and some of the set amounts that you will pay out of your pocket up front such as prescription co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance. You’ll also want to consider the health care needs of you and your eligible dependents.
If you participate in the Star Tribune Wellness program, you can further reduce your out-of-pocket costs!
For detailed information on your benefit plans, click on the Medical Plans tab in the menu at the top of the page.
